Over 37 million people vaccinated for COVID-19 in Myanmar

Yangon [Myanmar], November 10: Myanmar has vaccinated more than 37 million people for COVID-19 as of Tuesday, the Ministry of Health said on Wednesday.
The figures comprised over 30.72 million people aged 18 and above and more than 6.7 million people aged under 18 years old, the ministry said.
The ministry confirmed 70 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the tally to 632,461.
It said that the health authorities tested 9,943 people for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, and the daily positivity rate was 0.7 percent.
The death toll from COVID-19 in the country remained unchanged at 19,486 as no new deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, the ministry said.
The total number of patients who have recovered from COVID-19 in the country reached 606,724, including 103 new recoveries.
The Southeast Asian country detected its first COVID-19 cases in March 2020.
